Andrew Buchanan is our new McLean Décor Manager. His decorating career began in the late 1970s, when he was the manager of Town and Country Wallcoverings in Fairfax. From there he moved on to Duron Paints and Wallcoverings, where he had several positions during his tenure. He worked in the Architectural Sales Department as an Architectural Consultant and as the first Home Builder Representative. Andrew managed Duron's first full-service decorating center in Rockville, where he and five designers offered a full range of commercial and residential design services.
As a paint manager at Duron and McCormick Paint, Andrew developed an excellent color eye. His drapery and window treatment experience comes from working at Expo Design Center and, more recently, as store manager at Next Day Blinds in Fairfax.
Born in Portland, Oregon, Andrew grew up in Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School. He enjoys cooking and learning about wine with his wife, Gloria. They reside in Haymarket with Abbie, their Yorkie. With more than 30 years in the decorating industry, Andrew is excited to bring his talents to Color Wheel.

Teresa Balcom has worked in the Washington D.C. area for thirty years in various aspects of the design and decorating field. In 1980, she moved here from Michigan and began a design career that encompasses custom drapery and bedding, upholstery, wall coverings, shutters, lighting and all elements of interior design. Teresa also has extensive experience with Hunter Douglas products. Color Wheel has been Teresa’s design home for the past 3 years. She enjoys the in-home consultation aspect of her job and incorporates her unique sense of fun into her work. She has an acute eye for color. Teresa resides in Loudoun County, where she finds inspiration from the elements of nature.
